Jane, John and their wire-haired vizsla Ernie moved to Rutland in 2012 having grown up in nearby Leicestershire.

Jane was Head Zookeeper at Wellplace Zoo in Oxfordshire for 10 years, and they have owned dogs since childhood.

Having witnessed personally the numerous benefits of hydrotherapy, they decided to establish a local centre dedicated to the welfare of dogs.

Jane and John are qualified hydrotherapists, having attained the ABC Level 3 Certificate in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals.  Jane also holds the ABC Level 3 Diploma in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals and the ABC Advanced Hydrotherapy Treadmill Treatment and Practical Application of Advanced Techniques for Small Animals Certificate.  Animal First Aid training is undertaken every two years.

You can be confident that as a Member of NARCH your dog is being treated by trained professionals, who are also required to complete ongoing training to ensure the hydrotherapist’s commitment to operating under the “Guide to Professional Conduct for Registered Canine Hydrotherapists”.

Converting the Cow Shed

The old cattle rails and brick drinking troughs shown on the left were first of all removed. After an awful lot of wall scrubbing, wood scraping, pointing, limewashing, pool building, carpentry and plumbing, we were ready to open in July 2014.
